Article 37, Act n° 88-95, 2 August 1988 relating to Archives, stipulates that the National Archives is required to use all adequate means to organize the communication of records and promote their cultural and educative value. In compliance with the Article’s stipulations, a research space has been reserved for users in addition to the establishment of a “Sous-direction de la communication ’’ (Sub-directorate for Communication). The latter’s task is to ensure the best exploitation of the available information, the communication of records to users and the organization of outreach programmes and educative activites.
