The communication of the preserved
records available at the National Archives takes place in the reading room. This
consists of 68 seats with three small rooms for group work and another for the
consultation of microfilms.
The consultation spaces are open to the public :
- Monday to Friday : 9.00 a.m to 17.00 p.m without interruption;
- Saturday : 8.30 a.m to 12.30 p.m.
The opening times are limited in Summer and Ramadhan to the unique work session
time in conformity with the administrative regulations.
Research for information sources is carried out through the use of manual
finding aids : lists, inventories, card indexes, index or through consultable
databases available at a computer – equipped space adjacent to the reading room.
“Thakra” database concerns the references relating to records whereas “Kiteb”
database contain the data relating to library material.
Users known that it is fee-paying,
can get reproductions of the available records (photocopies, microfilms etc…) in
conformity with the internal regulations.
Tariffs are fixed by a ministerial Order. |
